In the 2026 Australian International Chemistry Quiz (ICQ), Tina, a STEM student from Hongyi Academy, delivered an outstanding performance, winning the International Third Prize and advancing to the ICQ Chemistry Asian Camp. This achievement fully demonstrates the academy’s deep foundation in STEM education and its remarkable success in cultivating future technology leaders.

The International Chemistry Quiz (ICQ) is organized by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. First held in 1982, it now involves over 100,000 students from 21 countries and regions each year, with the test available in seven languages. The innovative and engaging questions are carefully designed over two years by authoritative chemistry educators. They assess students’ understanding of basic chemistry knowledge and skills while encouraging them to use provided materials for reasoning and to apply their learning beyond the standard curriculum. The quiz emphasizes the close link between scientific theory and real-world application, helping students develop abilities in information extraction, observation, and problem-solving. As a unique learning and challenge experience, ICQ is highly recognized by participating teachers and students worldwide.
